O come, O Wisdom from on high,
who ordered all things mightily;
to us the path of knowledge show
and teach us in its ways to go.

Jesus, “the wisdom of God” (1st Corinthians 1:24 DH), came to us two millennia ago in Bethlehem and He is coming again to rule and reign in wisdom and justice.

Yet Jesus “the wisdom of God” can also come to us today in the schooling of our children and in our search for wisdom in daily family life.

Do you need purpose and direction in your homeschooling? Feeling a bit disorganized as Christmastide approaches? Turn to Jesus for He orders all things mightily.

Is one of your students just not grasping the knowledge you’re trying to pass on? Turn to Jesus for He can guide your student in the path of knowledge.

The right curricula, teaching method, home environment, and community (like ours here at Judah Catholic Academy) all make a difference.

But ultimately it is Christ’s presence that will truly make your student wise as he or she grows up.

Take a moment during the remaining school days leading up to Christmas to pray together at the school table, say a rosary, or read a passage of Scripture. Invite Jesus to come as Wisdom in your school day.
