American Government Part 1
From: $100.00 / month
This class will present information regarding the United States Government and provide explorers with the background information they need to be responsible, educated citizens.
The class will provide information on the Foundations of American Government, The Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branches, Liberty and Justice for All, Participation in Government, Participating in Government, Public Policies and Services, State and Local Government, and Political and Economic Systems. Class instruction will be through discussion and research, along with a combination of lectures and slides.
Explorers require a fundamental knowledge of U.S. History, specifically the Revolutionary War.
Explorers will be assigned assignments to answer critical questions regarding the Government, the Constitution, and Public Services. They will also research local and State elections to get information on local candidates and their platforms.
Learner progress will be evaluated based upon participation in class.
This class is taught in a neutral environment with no emphasis on any one candidate or party. Still, it will provide explorers with the information required to make an informed decision through critical thinking. I am offering this class to assist our future citizens so they can participate in the electoral process and fully understand the history behind the U.S. Government.
Throughout this 14 week course, there will be weekly quizzes and homework and research assignments. The homework and exams will have to do with the Chapter we are covering each week. The Research Project will be explained during week one and a Handout will appear in the Classroom. We will also go into a lot of details during that week’s class. This way, I can answer any questions you and your learner may have.
