Description

Course Overview:

Specific study of American History from the pre-colonial period. Emphasis will be placed on the vocabulary, critical thinking skills, historical writing.  Besides listening to traditional lectures on essential themes in U.S. History, explorers are expected to participate in class through discussions, critical thinking.  Explorers will be expected to develop their writing skills through regular short writing assignments while maintaining a digital notebook of class material and complete assigned homework.  Explorers will investigate the impact of geographic factors as well as the significant events and eras and analyze their causes and effects. Explorers explore constitutional issues in American society.
