Introduction to the Old Testament

From: $125.00 / month

In this class, explorers will discover the roots of Judaism and Christianity as we explore the Old Testament using the Bible. We will start from the beginning in Genesis and see the groundwork for our faith develop with the covenants made with Abraham, Jacob, and Moses; watch the Israelites grow as a people, learn the journey the people of Israelite people make when their whole world collapses during the exile, and watch the everlasting love God has for us despite unfaithfulness and sin. We will look at the prophecies that God revealed to us and fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Through reading, and asking questions, explorers will have a better idea of what the Old Testament was, context for reading the New Testament and how we can learn from it.

This class will be on the following Thursdays from 6-7:15pm. Students should expect every other week culminating with a final test on the last week of class.
