Japanese 1
From: $40.00 / month for 10 months
This course will serve as an introduction to both Japanese language and basic elements of Japanese culture. Students will learn how to both speak the language and communicate respectfully and effectively across cultural lines. We will be focusing first on the two phonetic alphabets, hiragana and katakana, and later, the primary, character-based kanji. English-speaking students will learn a grammar structure, syntax, and morphology entirely different from their own – and they will see just how easy it can be.
Because this course is the foundation for the continued study of Japanese, it is encouraged that students develop a routine of daily study and memorization. When it comes to language learning, students will reap what they sow. It is important that a student be self-motivated and interested in their target language in order to excel.
