Course Description

Spanish 1 will go over and give explorers a basic knowledge of Spanish and the countries where it is spoken. They will get a basic understanding of, but not limited to, alphabet, numbers, colors, family, body, food, weather, life, sports, animals shopping and basic phrases.

Homework (30%) – half credit for attempting, half credit based on accuracy

Tests (60%)—graded for accuracy

• 3-ring binder or notebook for taking notes
• Espanol En Vivo and the activity pacs

• Index cards

Academic Honesty

Exams and quizzes will be administered at home under the supervision of a parent or tutor. Notes and books are not allowed to be used for the exams or quizzes unless stated otherwise. If cheating is suspected and confirmed, the student will be given a zero.

Course Deadline

All coursework must be submitted no later than one year from course start.
