This course will cover grammar, vocabulary, figurative language, point of view, characterization, argumentative and persuasive writing, and informational writing. There will also be poetry, fiction and non fiction units including Treasure Island, It's Up to you Abe Lincoln and The Hobbit.
Students will gain an understanding of Spanish language and concepts including, but not limited to, alphabet, numbers, colors, family, body, food, weather, life, sports, animals shopping and basic phrases.
The class will focus on using 2nd grade skills to introduce Multiplication and Division using various learning strategies and application activities to learn and use 3rd grade math concepts. Students will get to use creative skills in the different projects and hands-on activities of this class.
This course will serve as an introduction to both Japanese language and basic elements of Japanese culture. Students will learn how to both speak the language and communicate respectfully and effectively across cultural lines. We will be focusing first on the two phonetic alphabets, hiragana and katakana, and later, the primary, character-based kanji.
